Doses and forms of application of phosphorus in vernalized garlic Scientia Agricola
Büll,Leonardo Theodoro; Costa,Mirian Cristina Gomes; Novello,Aline; Fernandes,Dirceu Maximino; Villas Bôas,Roberto Lyra.
Because of low P mobility in the soil, the effect of its position in relation to the root is of great practical significance, especially in soils with extreme P deficiency. Experiments with vegetables under this approach are not frequent. This work studies the influence of the position of phosphate fertilizer on nutrient absorption and on the production of vernalized garlic (Allium sativum L.) bulbs. Two experiments were carried out in pots (16 L) containing samples of a Typic Quartzipsamment and of a Typic Hapludox in a factorial scheme with four P doses (50, 100, 200, and 400 mg P dm-3) and five positions relative to the incorporation (I) or furrow application (S), where L1 = 100%I, L2 = 75%I and 25%S, L3 = 50%I and 50%S, L4 = 25%I and 75%S, and L5 =...

Organic matter fractions in soil under coffee with split applications of phosphorus and water regimes AGRIAMBI
Araújo,Larissa G.; Figueiredo,Cícero C. de; Borges,Inácio B.; Ramos,Maria L. G.; Rocha,Omar C.; Guerra,Antonio F..
Phosphorus fertilization and irrigation management are essential practices to increase coffee yields, though information is scarce about the effect of these practices on organic matter fractions of soils of the ‘Cerrado’ (savanna-like vegetation). The purpose of this study was to evaluate organic matter fractions of a clayey Oxisol under coffee with split applications of phosphorus (P) and water regimes. The experimental design was a randomized block with 3 x 2 factorial arrangement with three split applications of P (P1: 300 kg ha-1 P2O5 applied annually of which 2/3 applied in September and 1/3 in December; P2: 600 kg ha-1 P2O5 applied at planting and every two years, and P3: 1800 kg ha-1 of P2O5 applied only at planting, corresponding to a 6-year...

Phosphorus sources enriched with filter cake and microorganisms in the soil microbiota: Phosphorus absorption and sugar cane dry matter production Ciencia e Investigación Agraria
Hernández,Alfredo R; Prado,Renato de M; González,Leónides C; Caione,Gustavo; Moda,Leandro R; Assis,Luis C; Almeida,Hilário J.
Filter cake enriched with biofertilizer (associated with fertilizer phosphate) can increase the available phosphorus, and thus improve the absorption of phosphorus and dry matter accumulation by plants. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of phosphorus sources in the absence and presence of filter cake (enriched with biofertilizer or not enriched) on the soil population of microorganisms, soil phosphorus content, phosphorus accumulation in the aerial portion of the plant and production of dry matter in sugar cane plants. The experiment was performed in a greenhouse using sugar cane as the test plant. A completely randomized design was adopted with a 3×3+1 factorial arrangement and three repetitions. The treatments consisted of the...

Productive characteristics, nutrition and agronomic efficiency of polymer-coated MAP in lettuce crops Rev. Ciênc. Agron.
Chagas,Wantuir Filipe Teixeira; Emrich,Eduardo Bucsan; Guelfi,Douglas Ramos; Caputo,André Luiz Carvalho; Faquin,Valdemar.
In contrast to enhanced-efficiency nitrogen fertilisers, principally urea, phosphate fertilisers have been little studied and the available information is limited. The aim of this work therefore was to evaluate the productive and nutritional characteristics and the agronomic efficiency of a polymer-coated MAP fertilizer on two subsequent lettuce crops. The experiment was carried out in a greenhouse, in pots with a capacity of 4 kg, filled with a dystrophic yellow Latosol of a clayey texture. The experimental design was completely randomised and the treatments arranged in a 2 x 5 factorial scheme: two sources of phosphorus (P) (MAP and polymer-coated MAP), applied to the plots in five dosages (0, 100, 200, 400, 800 mg P2O5 kg-1) with three replications. The...

Thermal treatment of aluminous phosphates of the crandallite group and its effect on phosphorus solubility Scientia Agricola
Francisco,Eros Artur Bohac; Prochnow,Luís Ignácio; Toledo,Maria Cristina Motta de; Ferrari,Viviane Carillo; Jesus,Sérgio Luís de.
Optimization in the use of phosphate rocks is important and the residues of fertilizer production in the form of crandallite may be suitable for agronomic use after calcination. With the objective of evaluating the effect of thermal treatment of the aluminous phosphates of the crandallite group as related to solubility, crystalline structure and morphology, samples from the mine residues of three Brazilian phosphate deposits (Tapira-MG, Catalão-GO, and Juquiá-SP) were collected, air-dried, and screened to 100 mesh. Sub samples were thermally treated at 300, 500, 700, and 900°C for 2 hours. Treated and untreated materials were analyzed by X-ray diffraction, scanning electronic microscopy, energy dispersive X-ray spectrometry, and for the total and soluble P...
